POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician II reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the upkeep, servicing, and repair of plant machinery. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and completing work orders efficiently.

Shift: 6pm-6am

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance as directed, documenting actions taken within the required timeframe.
  • Providing emergency repairs for equipment and creating work orders for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Executing skilled repair services and installations for equipment, covering electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical functions.
  • Responding to facility maintenance service calls, diagnosing issues, and rectifying problems following industry best practices.
  • Identifying and communicating necessary improvements for equipment and facilities.
  • Determining parts needed for replacement and placing orders as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Creating and completing all work orders for tasks performed in line with established safety protocols.
  • Performing REV size changes on required equipment.
  • Collaborating with operations staff on daily operational challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Executing full rebuilds of equipment as assigned and conducting preventive maintenance on at least 50% of operational machinery.
  • Maintaining clean and organized maintenance and repair areas.
  • Providing daily shift reports on the status of completed work.
  • Carrying out other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong time management abilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food and beverage sector is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position necessitates sufficient physical capability to operate in a production environment.

FREQUENT: Ability to communicate verbally and audibly; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; utilize hands and fingers to operate machinery and equipment.

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask and perform confined entry using Lockout/Tagout procedures. Exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur.

VISION: Ability to see close and distant objects, as well as color and peripheral vision, with or without correction.

HEARING: Ability to hear within the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise from machinery and equipment may be present.
