Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Maintenance Generalist to join our team at Tyson Foods Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure smooth operations
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment as directed by supervisor
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of plant layout, tools, parts, and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals
Requirements
  • Pass Maintenance Safety Test
  • Special lockout/tagout training
  • Ability to analyze potential problems before downtime results
  • Basic knowledge of math to utilize blueprints and plant layouts
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Standing/Walking majority of shift
  • Stooping/bending required for some tasks
  • Climbing ladders/steps to reach some equipment
  • Lifting to and in excess of 70 pounds
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to weather elements, wet floors, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment repairs, moving objects, humid, noisy, cramped working quarters at times. Chemical solutions used in cleaning agents and sanitizers.
