POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician II reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the upkeep, servicing, and repair of plant machinery. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders efficiently.

Shift: 6pm-6am

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Executing scheduled preventative maintenance as per the maintenance system and documenting actions taken within the required timeframe.
  • Providing emergency repairs for equipment and generating work orders for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Conducting skilled repair services and installation of machinery, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical functions.
  • Responding to facility maintenance service requests, diagnosing issues, and implementing corrective actions in accordance with best practices.
  • Identifying and communicating necessary improvements for equipment and facilities.
  • Determining parts needed for replacement and placing orders as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Creating and completing all work orders for tasks performed in line with established safety protocols.
  • Performing REV size changes on necessary equipment.
  • Collaborating with operations staff on daily operational challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Executing full rebuilds of equipment as assigned and performing preventative maintenance on at least 50% of operational machinery.
  • Maintaining clean and organized maintenance and repair areas.
  • Providing daily shift reports on the status of work completed.
  • Carrying out other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to operate in a production environment.

FREQUENT: Ability to communicate effectively; stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; utilize hands and fingers to operate machinery and equipment.

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask and perform confined entry using the Lockout/Tagout program. Exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur.

VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction.

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from machinery and equipment is expected.
