Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee personnel management for a team of 17, including hiring, evaluating, and training staff to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Director on performance evaluations and merit increases.
  • Facilitate the development and execution of training programs, ensuring all documentation is current.
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Work Order systems, ensuring effective assignment of tasks and monitoring of productivity.
  • Implement a cost-effective maintenance program that adheres to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual business plan, including operating and capital budgets.
  • Monitor budget lines for assigned accounts, tracking expenses related to supplies and services.
  • Oversee project management, providing detailed specifications for procurement and contracted work.
  • Support the planning and execution of projects involving equipment installation, upgrades, and refurbishments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in facilities management, with expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
  • Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; additional certifications in relevant trades are a plus.
  • Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Physical capability to perform heavy work, including lifting and moving items as needed.
  • Ability to work in environments with significant noise and mechanical moving parts.
