Job Summary

The State of Oklahoma is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Central Accounting and Reporting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the preparation of the State's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of the State's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
  • Communicate effectively with agencies to obtain financial information and provide guidance on financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist agencies with the completion of GAAP conversion packages and revise and update state agency conversion packages annually, as needed.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of the State's accounting policies and procedures, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison to State Auditor & Inspector agency personnel, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports submitted by agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification or candidate status preferred.
  • Governmental accounting experience, understanding of GASB and GAAP for governments, and experience working with general ledger and ERP systems.
