About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Specialist II to join our team at the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) in Oklahoma. This role involves overseeing the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying funding opportunities to managing awarded grants. As a Grant Specialist II, you will be responsible for developing and writing grant proposals that align with the strategic goals of OMES, as well as managing awarded grants, including budget monitoring and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential grant opportunities from federal, state, and private sources.
  • Develop and write grant proposals that align with the strategic goals of OMES.
  • Oversee the submission of grant applications, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Manage awarded grants, including budget monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with department heads, project managers, and financial officers to gather necessary information for grant submissions and management.
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
  • Track the progress of submitted grants and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with grant agencies and funding organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or grant management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
