Job Summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a skilled HVAC Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the administration, operation, and maintenance of all HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, air handling systems, Central Plant equipment, and various other electro-mechanical systems located throughout our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and control of activities of the HVAC Shop.
  • Maintain the flow and quality of work to ensure timely completion of assigned workload.
  • Review and evaluate existing methods, systems, programs, practices, and procedures; develop and recommend changes to the Director.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of various department records in compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Work with the Director to coordinate construction and renovation programs for the facility.
  • Monitor and inspect employee work performance to ensure performance standards are maintained.
  • Orient and train new employees and provide continuing guidance and on-the-job training to all assigned personnel.
  • Assist with the Quality Control Program of the department.
  • Review and write specifications for corrective maintenance and minor construction and renovation projects.
  • Monitor and coordinate preventative maintenance and building and property repair and improvement projects performed by vendors and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Three years of work experience in a related field, or completion of advanced courses related to management skills and engineering.
  • The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and verbally.
  • Adequate knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Previous HVAC experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
