About the Position:
Ventia Pty Limited is currently seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC / Mechanical Operations Leader to join our dedicated facilities maintenance team. This full-time permanent role involves overseeing all HVAC and mechanical operations within our service portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise in-house HVAC personnel and subcontractors for all General Estate Works (GEW) under the Defence Contract.
- Ensure compliance with established quality and technical standards through inspection and validation of physical work.
- Manage budgets and costs while assisting in the planning, scheduling, and allocation of tasks.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to guarantee the availability of necessary equipment and services for tradespersons.
- Participate in meetings to monitor progress and address any issues affecting safety, quality, schedule, and costs.

Candidate Profile:
- Possess a formal trade background with experience in facilities maintenance across various building-related tasks and repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate both in-house trades and external contractors.
- Proficient in report writing, procurement principles, and preparing quotations.
- Willingness to accommodate after-hours work and participate in an on-call roster.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build effective working relationships at various organizational levels.
- Competent in using the MS Office suite; familiarity with MMS SAP systems is advantageous.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting (baseline). As such, Australian citizenship is required for this position.
