Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineering Director to join our team in New York. As a key member of our design and product development teams, you will be responsible for engineering new products, troubleshooting engineering challenges, and collaborating with our design and production teams to ensure seamless product development.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with our design VPs to ensure engineering needs are met
- Collaborate with our BKK Engineering Team to promote inter-office cohesion
- Participate in R&D, DFM, and CTM Committees
- Partner with our R&D team to vet manufacturing feasibility
- Own ECN projects, including vendor communication and quality control
- Document best practices in a Manufacturing Excellence Manual
- Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
- At least 7 years of practical jewelry manufacturing experience
- Extensive hands-on model making and jewelry assembly experience
- Knowledge of jewelry casting, stone setting techniques, and electroplating
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D and mechanical drawing software
