The successful candidate will have experience with Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) operations and projects, as well as overall knowledge of traffic modeling, signal design, traffic control plans, and studies. The Director will lead and manage traffic engineers, grow the department, and obtain contracts from NJDOT, NJ Transit, PANYNJ, NYC DOT, and NYS DOT. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or systems engineering, minimum 8-10 years of progressive relevant experience, Professional Engineering license in New York and/or New Jersey, and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
