Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Director to lead our culinary operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the dining and hospitality operations, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Deliver high-quality food and hospitality service by following Sunrise recipes, menus, and programs.
- Menu Planning and Execution: Post and display weekly and daily menus in accordance with Sunrise standards, complete and utilize production sheets to control food quality and portions.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure adherence to modified diets, correct portioning of foods, and proper serving methods, maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free kitchen environment.
- Financial Management: Understand and manage the department budget, including food, labor, and other expenses, review monthly financial statements and implement plans of action around deficiencies.
- Team Management: Provide overall management of the department, including but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching, lead and participate in daily and monthly team member meetings and trainings.
- Experience: Two to three years' experience supervising kitchen, food service, and dining room operations in a full-service restaurant.
- Certifications: Current ServSafe certification, basic knowledge of nutrition and modified diets.
- Skills: Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests, proficient in basic computer skills and programs with the ability to learn new applications.
