About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Director to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary and hospitality operations in our community, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the dining services team, including recruiting, training, and coaching staff
  • Develop and implement menus and culinary programs that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as local health department requirements
  • Manage food and labor budgets, and achieve established targets
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that kitchen equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and engagement
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in supervising kitchen, food service, and dining room operations in a full-service restaurant
  • Minimum 2-3 years of volume cooking experience and ability to cook 3-4 days per week
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Proven ability to use production sheets, standardized recipes, temperature logs, and sanitation forms
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition and modified diets
  • Ability to delegate assignments to team members based on their skills, roles, and interests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
