Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled S secure computing engineer to join our team at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI).

The selected candidate will work on architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining classified computer systems/networks and cybersecurity solutions for classified networks including government enclaves.

You will identify and define new cybersecurity objectives and controls as well as develop and maintain automated security validation toolsets.

Conduct system, network or software risk assessments and perform vulnerability analysis of open source software.

You will integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures and create cybersecurity architectural artifacts.

Provides architectural analysis of cybersecurity features and relates existing system to future needs and trends.

Leverages advanced forensic tools and techniques for Incident response and provides engineering recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation: Secure computing systems, networks, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated security validation toolsets.
  • Conduct system, network, or software risk assessments and perform vulnerability analysis.
  • Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures.
  • Create cybersecurity architectural artifacts.
  • Provide architectural analysis and engineering recommendations.
Education and Requirements
  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II compliance within 6 months of hire.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Top Secret, SCI and SAP access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with Active Directory management, Powershell scripting, Group Policy Management, and Windows Server Update Services.
  • Experience administering Windows 10, Server 2016, Server 2019, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience managing, administering, and updating systems under the Risk Management Framework.
Salary and Benefits

$90,000 - $110,000 per year.
