Position Summary
As a Customer Service Clerk, you will manage the checkout process, assist customers with their purchases, and ensure the front end operates smoothly. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in your designated areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer transactions at the checkout using a cash register.
  • Package customer purchases efficiently.
  • Assist customers in transporting their purchases to their vehicles.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products and provide guidance on selections.
  • Manage bottle returns and handle customer service inquiries in the designated area.
  • Maintain cleanliness of checkout stands and ensure supplies are replenished.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Occasionally assist with inventory checks and merchandise assessments.
  • May assist in stocking shelves with new or transferred products.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Front End Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions.
  • Strong communication skills with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Proactive in seeking ways to assist customers.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and their applications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles for extended periods.
  • Near vision capability for detail-oriented tasks.
  • Willingness to work 8+ hours per day.
  • Endurance to stand, walk, and change positions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry items ranging from 1-40 lbs.
  • Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands for various tasks.
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
