The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the overall nursing care and activities on their shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. They supervise licensed staff and certified nursing assistants and manage the care provided to residents during scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of licensed staff and certified nursing assistants
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document resident care and treatment plans
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide care as needed
  • Manage the care provided to residents during scheduled shifts

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum of two years of RN Supervisor experience in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
