Nursing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Copper Ridge Healthcare Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our team of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Functions: Direct the day-to-day activities of LPNs, ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures, and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Charting and Documentation: Complete and file accurate records, transcribe physician orders, and chart nurses' notes in a clear and descriptive manner.
- Drug Administration Functions: Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, verify resident identities, and ensure accurate narcotic records.
- Personnel Functions: Participate in employee performance evaluations, develop work assignments, and provide leadership to nursing personnel.
- Nursing Care Functions: Implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards, make periodic checks to ensure prescribed treatments are being properly administered, and ensure direct nursing care is provided by qualified personnel.
- Staff Development: Participate in developing and conducting in-service training classes, implement and maintain an effective orientation program, and assist in standardizing methods for accomplishing work.
- Safety and Sanitation: Monitor personnel to ensure they are following established safety regulations, ensure established departmental policies and procedures are followed, and participate in the development and implementation of the infection control program.
- Equipment and Supply Functions: Recommend equipment and supply needs, ensure an adequate stock level of medications and medical supplies, and participate in the development and implementation of procedures for the safe operation of nursing service equipment.
- Care Plan and Assessment Functions: Review care plans daily, inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes, and ensure that nurses' notes reflect that the care plan is being followed.
