RN Supervisor Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse supervisor will oversee day-to-day nursing activities in the facility, ensuring that nursing care is provided by a licensed nurse, a certified nursing assistant, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure.

Responsibilities include admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as required, ensuring that all RNs and LPNs on the shift comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.

Leadership training will be provided, including administrative and supervisory principles essential for Charge Nurses.

The RN Supervisor will also ensure that nursing service personnel follow established infection control procedures when isolation precautions become necessary.

Requirements include a minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university and a current certification as a Nurses Aide.

Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner is also required.

Additionally, the RN Supervisor must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
