Job Description

A leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States is seeking a Quality Inspector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a passion for ensuring high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections and measurements of products, materials, or components using various tools and instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform and document First-Article, In-process, and Final Inspections, communicate required adjustments to production personnel, and release finished product for delivery.
  • Identify and document any defects, deviations, or non-conformities in products or materials, categorize defects according to severity, and take appropriate actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection and testing activities, including test reports, inspection logs, and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide real-time feedback on quality issues and work together to address and resolve quality concerns promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, efficiency improvements, or changes to prevent recurring quality issues.
Requirements:
  • Engineering or related degree is preferred, but technical or vocational training in quality assurance will be considered as well.
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME) and welding symbols.
  • Experience in preparing AS9102B First Article Inspections Reports.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001 & AS9100).
