Senior Merchandiser Job Description

About the Role

Alo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandiser to lead our Women's department. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for creating and driving assortment strategies that meet or exceed sales goals, margin targets, and align with our company's overarching strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal and annual strategies for Women's categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales targets.
  • Create and communicate seasonal line plans to guide design, product development, and production.
  • Merchandise and present seasonal product assortments that meet sales and margin targets.
  • Present seasonal product assortment to upper management, wholesale, and global teams.
  • Track business performance, identify risks, and opportunities for reacting to current business.
  • Create and communicate pricing strategies that align with brand positioning.
  • Rank styles based on historical and current product performance, as well as sell-through.
  • Communicate with cross-functional partners and lead reference points for calendar and deliveries.
  • Provide thorough and meaningful analysis of channels and effectively articulate learnings to management and cross-functional partners.
  • Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of customer base through strong field relationships and direct consumer feedback.
  • Maintain and demonstrate constant understanding of the competitive environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ years Merchandising experience (Omni, International, and Wholesale).
  • 2 years of leadership/management experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneur spirit.
  • Strong relationships and experience with product development, design, production, and buying teams.
  • Deep knowledge of current Women's market.
  • Natural leader and problem solver with a growth mindset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$125,000 per year, representing the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
