Job Title: Cell Therapy and Stem Cell Transplant RN Coordinator Lead

Overview:

As a key member of our team at Yale New Haven Health, the Cell Therapy and Stem Cell Transplant RN Coordinator Lead plays a vital role in developing and providing education to staff involved in the program. This position reports to the Cellular Therapy Program Manager and is responsible for collaborating with the Nursing Professional Development Specialist to create and deliver educational programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Education:
    • Assess learning needs based on regulatory requirements, evidence-based practice, and staff-identified needs.
  • Administrative Role:
    • Develop SOPs related to clinical practice for the cellular therapy and stem cell transplant programs in collaboration with the Cell Therapy Program Quality Manager.
  • Role Development:
    • Support the development of nursing leadership skills in self and clinical nursing staff according to ANA Standards of Practice.
  • Collaborative Partnership:
    • Represent nursing in the development of interprofessional learning activities.
  • Champion of Scientific Inquiry:
    • Develop, educate, and implement quality improvement initiatives and outcomes across the program.
  • Orientation:
    • Develop, implement, and manage Cell Therapy and stem cell transplant competency-based orientation.
  • Competency Management:
    • Develop initial and ongoing competencies based on FACT standards, cell therapy best practices, GxP, and YNHHS policies.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher required, one degree must be in nursing (Either BS or MS in nursing)

Experience: 3-5 Years of active Nursing experience in oncology, one year of relevant teaching experience preferred, nursing staff development and/or specialty area preferred. Experience in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies strongly preferred.

Licenses: RN licensure in the state of CT

Special Skills: Demonstrates ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs. Strong interpersonal skills.
