About the Role:

First Bank of Montana is seeking a part-time Custodian to join our team in our Big Sandy, Montana location. This position requires a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a high level of willingness to maintain and keep the building clean, safe, and presentable. Evening and weekend work may be required. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere. Confidentiality, good attendance, flexibility, and adaptability are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete assigned online training courses and achieve a score of 85% or greater by due date.
  • Perform custodial functions, including cleaning practices, procedures, techniques, and tools.
  • Operate and maintain routine custodial equipment, including vacuum cleaners.
  • Order, keep inventory, and organize custodial and building supplies.
  • Clean and maintain the bank building, including inside and outside areas.
  • Assist the full-time custodian as requested.
  • Develop and improve skills through training programs and regular feedback discussions with supervisors.
  • Participate in community service and bank-sponsored activities that support the mission and values of First Bank of Montana.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service, demonstrating self-governance, courtesy, and respect.
  • Represent First Bank of Montana in a professional manner, maintaining a positive image, confidentiality, and adaptability.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Custodial Experience Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and work independently
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines, protocol, policies, and procedures, and supervisory directives
  • Ability to adhere to bank policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and security
Work Environment:

The employee will perform work both indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level and outside in sometimes inclement weather.

Physical Demands:

The employee will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull. The employee must be able to read, understand, and follow written instructions/directions, including those found on cleaning product labels. The employee must be able to operate a computer terminal and keyboard. The employee must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation.
