Ferris State University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian Assistant to join our Facilities Management team. As a Custodian Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Racquet and Fitness Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors
  • Restock paper and soap products
  • Report needed maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Replace light bulbs and globes
  • Set up tables, chairs, and other furniture as needed
  • Empty waste baskets and dispose of trash
  • Minimize waste of cleaning supplies
  • Respond to emergency custodial requests
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No custodial work experience required - will train selected applicant
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with a normal schedule of 10:00 pm - 2:00 am, Monday through Friday. However, work may be required at other times, including evenings and weekends.
