The organization is in search of a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to spearhead the design, execution, and maintenance of critical components within their battery production technology. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the design, procurement, implementation, optimization, and upkeep of systems related to dry bulk powder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of powder processing systems, encompassing bulk handling, conveying, mixing, sieving/screening, and metering systems.
  • Foster innovation in equipment and process design through collaboration with key suppliers.
  • Manage capital projects from inception to commissioning, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and compliance, to enhance equipment performance and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Guarantee the safe and compliant design and operation of systems for internal use and partner/customer sites across various regions.
  • Provide strategic insights on equipment design and selection to optimize cost-effectiveness, capability, and compliance.
  • Support the certification of integrated turnkey systems for powder processing.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, technical specifications, and documentation.
  • Ensure that equipment systems are designed, implemented, and maintained for optimal reliability and uptime.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting expertise to internal teams and clients.
  • Align product development roadmaps with equipment capabilities, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with extensive experience in fine powder handling and mixing equipment.
  • Over 10 years of experience in designing and implementing powder processing systems, including pneumatic and mechanical conveyance, high shear mixers, weigh batching systems, and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of standards and regulations governing combustible and toxic powders.
  • Familiarity with leading global suppliers for dry bulk handling equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects that transition new technologies to commercialization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach and proficiency in CAD, project management, and documentation tools.
  • Solid understanding of lean principles and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support project implementation.
