The Airport Safety Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of the public within the airport's jurisdiction. This includes identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, actions, or environmental hazards.

Key responsibilities include operating emergency response vehicles and managing traffic flow for both vehicles and pedestrians.


Compensation:
Starting salary is competitive and based on certification status.

Core Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all operational standards set by relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, reports, and training.
- Act as a first responder in medical emergencies.
- Enforce laws and regulations effectively.
- Manage traffic incidents and respond to emergency calls.
- Investigate crimes and assist in apprehending suspects.
- Conduct security sweeps for prohibited items.
- Respond to various alarms and patrol designated areas.
- Address environmental hazards in compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate emergency response vehicles proficiently.
- Provide assistance to individuals in need.
- Participate in training exercises and maintain punctual attendance.
- Uphold safety regulations and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of airport security protocols and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion.
- Must have a clean criminal record and driving history.
- Must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen.
- Successful completion of medical and psychological evaluations is required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 environment.
- Must obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and compliance with state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Experience in law enforcement or emergency services is preferred.
