Opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care

This position entails delivering direct patient care in accordance with established clinic protocols, applicable in both outpatient and occasionally inpatient environments.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in primary care settings, including outpatient and, when necessary, inpatient care
  • Assess and manage both acute and chronic health conditions
  • Encourage cost-effective healthcare solutions while considering social determinants of health
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, leveraging the expertise of all team members
  • Ensure accurate electronic health record maintenance and timely documentation
Qualifications & Skills
Preference for candidates with experience serving low-income populations. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly typing, is essential. Familiarity with various health insurance plans is advantageous. The ability to provide training and guidance to colleagues is required. Understanding of standard office protocols and compliance regulations such as CLIA and OSHA is beneficial. Proficiency in practice management software is necessary. Hospital privileges may be required.
Redmond, located in Deschutes County, Oregon, is nestled on the eastern side of the Cascade Range within the scenic High Desert region of Central Oregon.
