The Role:

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis for Supply Chain is a pivotal position responsible for collaborating with the Supply Chain Operations team to deliver financial insights and innovative solutions that drive profitable growth for G.L. Mezzetta brands. This role will enhance performance by providing strategic business guidance, developing and managing KPI scorecards, conducting gap analyses, overseeing budget and forecasting processes, evaluating capital investments, and producing clear, actionable reports for the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee planning and performance management for the supply chain function, supporting manufacturing and logistics operations to enhance business performance.
  • Lead the development of the annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts for the Operations team (COGS and Logistics).
  • Create and present KPI dashboards to showcase performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enhance the planning and forecasting process with technological support.
  • Establish and implement best practices and processes to monitor and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Prepare capital expenditure approval packages with ROI calculations and alternative comparisons.
  • Develop proforma COGS for new products and innovations.
  • Track capital expenditure projects and conduct follow-up analyses on completed projects.
  • Assist in Monthly and Quarterly business reviews to compare actual versus forecasted performance, along with risk and opportunity assessments and action plans.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain finance and analysis, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong passion for leveraging data to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare financial forecasts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis processes, tools, reporting, and technology systems.
