Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. As an integral part of our healthcare system, this role will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.

About Us

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County. Our state-of-the-art facility offers a wide range of medical services, including a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency response services, including dispatching personnel and responding to alarms and alerts.
  • Maintain activity logs for Police Department, engineering, and other staff as directed/required by position.
  • Monitor and react to alarms, including code red, code blue, alert I/II, and code EMRT.
  • Support the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Requirements
  • 6 months in multi-line phone operation and radio dispatching required; 6 months communications experience in healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
  • Able to handle stressful situations and make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Able to organize work and work area with time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to professionally and effectively communicate (orally and in writing).
  • Demonstrates good customer service skills, adaptability, initiative, and self-starter qualities.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
