Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. is seeking an exceptional IT Program/Delivery Manager for a long-term Contractor position with one of our premier clients in lower Manhattan, NYC.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex IT projects, with a strong focus on IT governance, risk assessment, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects within the Portfolio of Initiatives, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks to maintain project standards, compliance, and accountability.
  • Assess and identify potential risks to project success, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize Agile principles and practices to drive iterative project delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, delivering clear and concise communication regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Report status on the project in line with program guidelines and timelines, and provide full transparency of the project to the stakeholders
  • Prepare high-quality written PowerPoint presentations and reports to communicate project progress, key metrics, and decision points.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required:

  • Extensive experience in IT Program and Project management and delivery, with a strong focus on IT governance.
  • Proven ability to assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Financial Services experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to create concise and clear consolidated reports and visual presentations to communicate effectively to senior management and stakeholders
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and a strong team player
  • Exceptional communication skills - oral and written
