Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimodal Planning Specialist to join our team at Hillsborough County. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community through comprehensive planning and urban development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of comprehensive plans, land use policies, and urban development regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community groups, developers, and government agencies, to ensure that planning initiatives align with community needs and goals.
  • Develop and present reports, studies, and other planning documents to inform decision-making and promote community engagement.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal stakeholders on planning-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in comprehensive planning and urban development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Urban or Community Planning, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in comprehensive planning, urban development, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
Working Conditions

This position typically works in an office environment, with occasional travel to community meetings and other events. The ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer is required.
