Primary Care Patient Scheduling Supervisor

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is in search of a dedicated and experienced Primary Care Patient Scheduling Supervisor to enhance our operational team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the scheduling personnel, working closely with Primary Care Leadership, and ensuring precise patient demand metrics for optimal staffing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Primary Care Leadership to establish objectives and oversee clinic functionalities.
  • Conduct interviews, recruit, and mentor new scheduling personnel as required.
  • Oversee the activities of patient schedulers and other designated staff.
  • Review and authorize staff hours for payroll processing.
  • Support patient empanelment and the dissemination of provider schedules.
  • Delegate daily tasks to scheduling staff members.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Primary Care Administrator.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate Degree in Health Care is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience; healthcare background is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of an Alaska Driver's License.
  • Strong supervisory capabilities, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Yup'ik is a plus.
