Job Summary:

This position plays a crucial role in the success of primary care at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. As a Primary Care Patient Scheduling Supervisor, you will oversee the supervision of primary care patient scheduling staff and collaborate closely with the Primary Care Management Team to coordinate clinic and patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet regularly with Primary Care Leadership to define goals, manage finances, provide staff training, and oversee the general management of clinics.

Interview, hire, and orient new scheduling staff as needed to maintain adequate staffing levels for the clinics.

Supervise patient schedulers and other staff as directed by the YKHC Primary Care Administrator.

Monitor and approve time in the Kronos system to ensure accurate hours for staff payment.

Assist with patient empanelment and publishing the monthly provider schedule in the scheduling application book.

Assign daily responsibilities for scheduling staff as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of progressive supervisory experience. Healthcare experience is preferred. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office is necessary.

License, Certification, Registration: Alaska Driver's License

Equipment/Tools: Computers, Multiline telephone system, Copier, Fax machine, Shredder

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, supervisory skills, accuracy, and dependability. Interpersonal and communication skills are required for interacting with medical personnel on a routine basis. Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office is necessary. Ability to speak Yup'ik is helpful.
