About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our South and Central Asia Division as the Director. As a key member of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of programming and content that preserves our credibility, maximizes audience engagement, and maintains editorial independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming and Content Development: Oversee the production of high-quality programming and content that meets the needs of our target audience, including radio, television, and digital output.
  • Strategic Planning and Resource Management: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve division goals, manage resources effectively, and ensure timely execution of programs and projects.
  • Human Resource Management: Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector partners.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving strategic objectives.
  • Media and Communications Expertise: Strong understanding of media and communications principles, including journalism, broadcasting, and digital media.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and one or more languages spoken in the South and Central Asia region.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial management and human resource management skills.
