Position Overview:
As a pivotal figure in the organization, the individual will oversee and manage all aspects of vehicle and infrastructure maintenance operations for the Central Link Light Rail System. This role encompasses budget management, contractor oversight, and operational coordination with various departments and local authorities to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate multiple budgets and projects, ensuring cost efficiency through competitive bidding and procurement strategies.
  • Maintain and update all system maintenance plans, collaborating with various departments for data collection and procedural development.
  • Ensure effective inventory management of spare parts and assets, maintaining compliance with internal policies and agreements.
  • Review and assess systems transitioning from construction to operational status, ensuring safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendors to validate training programs and operational manuals, ensuring accuracy and distribution.
  • Monitor employee performance to uphold safety standards and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct administrative tasks including data management, report generation, and financial oversight.
  • Participate in the formulation of goals, objectives, and budgets for assigned projects, providing forecasts for future resource needs.
  • Support departmental initiatives and represent the organization in various professional settings, staying informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with five years of relevant experience in rail maintenance, including supervisory roles in transit systems.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid state driver’s license required for site inspections.
  • CDL license preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of Light Rail Transit operations and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to transit operations.
  • Proficient in contract management and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents.
  • Proficient in modern office software and data management tools.
