Job Summary:

As a Security Officer with Henry Ford Health System, you will play a critical role in protecting our patients, employees, and visitors from harm. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protecting the site's building, grounds, assets, employees, patients, and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, fires, and natural disasters.
  • Providing outstanding customer service and responding to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintaining a valid unexpired Michigan operator's license and completing state minimum training certification requirements.
  • Participating in annual training and testing requirements to maintain certification.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred, preferably in Criminal Justice or Security Administration.
  • 0-3 years hospital/healthcare related security experience, or three to five (3-5) years of complex security operations experience, or four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator's license.
  • Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing.
