About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Producer, Mountain Region to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the commercial insurance market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new commercial accounts that meet IMA's criteria
  • Identify a target industry and/or market segment to focus on network building, prospecting, and development of specialized knowledge and expertise
  • Conduct needs reviews during initial and subsequent qualifying interviews with prospects
  • Identify and engage internal resources for prospects qualified through needs reviews, coordinate resources, and lead strategy meetings to determine the best approach for new account acquisition
  • Take full ownership of the execution of the final proposal presentation, including preparation of proposal materials, coordinating participation of various IMA team members, leading the actual presentation effort, and closing the sale
  • Proactively identify and coordinate cross-selling opportunities with other sales units at IMA
  • Enter and maintain all required information in Salesforce CRM
  • In partnership with an Account Servicing team, maintain client contacts to assure account retention
Requirements
  • 5+ years of direct business-to-business selling experience (highly preferred)
  • Track record of exceeding sales expectations demonstrated through documentation, recognition, or specific examples shared during the interview process
  • Experience in commercial insurance (preferred but not required), with a preference for expertise in both commercial property & casualty and group benefits
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Must either currently hold or within 90 days of hire attain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses for the appropriate state of business and fulfill continuing education requirements to retain licensing
  • Basic experience with MS Office products, specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel (required), intermediate aptitude preferred
