Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, enabling intervention in life-threatening situations.
  • Provide nursing care to patients with heart attacks, defibrillator or pacemaker implants, or other cardiac conditions.
  • Initiate and revise patient plans of care based on continuing assessments.
  • Document nursing interventions and patient responses according to hospital policy.
  • Supervise ancillary personnel and ensure patient confidentiality and rights.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current licensure in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of current hospital experience in PCU Specialty.
  • Evidence of current BLS and ACLS required.
