Psychiatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician I to join our team at Northern Light Acadia Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide therapeutic care and support to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.
- Respond to patient needs, taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
- Maintain a safe environment, complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Ability to work with computers, typing, reading, or writing.
- Ability to extend body and limbs to reach items.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people.
