Psychiatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.
- Respond to patient needs, taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
- Take a mindful and thoughtful approach to all patient interactions, maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Function within the patient care team, focusing on successful treatment and stabilization.
- Maintain a safe environment, complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures, and report and address environmental hazards and patient safety policy violations.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Ability to work with computers, typing, reading, and writing.
- Ability to extend body and limbs to reach items, stand for prolonged periods, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, move, and load less than 20 pounds.
