Psychiatric Care Specialist

Join our team at Northern Light Health as a Psychiatric Care Specialist, providing therapeutic care for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.
Job Summary:The Psychiatric Care Specialist functions within the multidisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of professional staff. This role assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, and aids in recovery with a focus on social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.
- Respond to patient needs, taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
- Maintain a safe environment, complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures, and report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Ability to work with computers, typing, reading, or writing.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting, moving, and loading less than 20 pounds.
