We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Service Technician V to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for servicing and troubleshooting wet/dry/pre-action systems, fire pumps-based fire sprinkler systems, and backflows.
Key Responsibilities- System Maintenance: Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action systems, fire pumps-based fire sprinkler systems, and backflows, including repair and internal inspections of systems.
- Inspection and Reporting: Conduct around 25 inspections per week and submit detailed reports on system condition and any necessary repairs.
- Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
- Physical Demands: Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds and perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work area, pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with Johnson Controls Fire Protection work, and wear appropriate safety equipment as required.
- Tool Management: Properly secure all Johnson Controls Fire Protection tools and equipment at the end of each work period to prevent damage or loss.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete and submit time reports and other documents as required, and bring to the immediate attention of the dispatcher/supervisor all changes, discrepancies, and coordination problems that impair activities or schedules.
- Flexibility: Work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer service on-call requirements.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the industry, with a working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire pump systems.
- Licenses and Certifications: Sprinkler and Backflow license.
- Skills: Quality Service Skills, Detail Oriented, Great communication skills to review and complete daily tasks, and Customer Service Oriented.
- NICET Certification: A plus.
