Logistics Operations Specialist

At Commonwealth Fusion Systems, we're pioneering a new era of energy production, and we're seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our Supply Chain Team.
As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods and materials, supporting our mission to deliver commercially viable fusion power plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Assist in meeting company objectives through logistics and material movement, focusing on supporting timely shipping, inbound and outbound, of CFS goods and materials.
- Transportation Analysis: Conduct multi-model transportation analysis, including specialized large heavy cargo from international territories to US locations via Ocean, Air, Rail, or truck.
- Transportation Solutions: Prepare robust transportation solutions with cost/lead time impact analysis to present to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Compliance Management: Manage outgoing and incoming domestic and international shipments documentation to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Inventory Management: Obey and enforce CFS Safety guidelines and policies on the loading dock and in the warehouse, correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors, and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- Experience: 7+ years combined experience in Shipping or Logistics field with some experience handling complex cargo.
- Skills: Strong computer skills with MS Office and G-Suite applications, strong communication and listening skills, inventory & warehousing operational knowledge, domestic & international shipping experience, multimodal transportation experience.
Additional Requirements:
- ERP Experience: Minimum 2 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Start-up Experience: Experience in start-up or high growth environment.
- Manufacturing Experience: Manufacturing/shop floor environment experience.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
