Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at American Freight. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse and delivery teams, ensuring seamless execution of our business operations, and driving sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the warehouse and delivery teams to achieve operational excellence, ensuring proper staffing, labor planning, and execution of backroom standards.
  • Develop and maintain American Freight's cultural values and code of conduct across all team members, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, ensuring accurate cycle counts, scan receiving, and fulfillment processes are completed, and online order fulfillment is optimized.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving process, including Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, and Reverse Flow process, ensuring all product movement is handled correctly within the facility.
  • Train and coach team members to minimize product damages and employee accidents, assessing damaged inventory and ensuring proper marking-out of inventory.
  • Assist in leading the store to achieve business goals in revenue, expense reduction, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and profit.
  • Manage the overall customer experience, including online customer reviews, delivery, and customer pickup experiences.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty, ensuring the store operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company ethic policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Lead or Sales Lead, with experience in retail sales, receiving, inventory management, shrink prevention, last-mile delivery, and model store standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and most weekends.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to move forward within the organization.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and associate development skills.
  • Action-oriented, with strong skills in execution.
  • Computer literacy, with Excel/Word/Handheld Unit experience preferred.
  • Strong drive for results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of retail business and store operations.
