Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at IKO North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing manufacturing leadership to fully engage employees and foster a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Leadership
    • Provide guidance and direction to production team members to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Safety and Quality
    • Investigate and prepare reports on safety near-misses, injuries, and workplace hazards.
    • Conduct safety workplace inspections and facilitate safety programs such as behavior-based safety.
    • Ensure adherence to Company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and coaching to production team members on procedures relating to safety, quality, and production.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Provide leadership and guidance to motivate and inspire the production team to deliver optimum performance.
    • Communicate effectively with production team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
    • Operate within standard operating and quality procedures.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis
    • Identify and resolve production issues in an efficient manner.
    • Analyze and resolve quality and production problems.
  • Performance Management
    • Evaluate team members' performance and provide coaching and guidance to improve employee skills and knowledge.
    • Administer the employee corrective action plan as needed.
  • Scheduling and Time Management
    • Plan and manage scheduling for production team.
    • Maintain employee time and attendance records.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • 4-year degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent production leadership experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Experience, knowledge, or training in Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
    • High-speed manufacturing supervisory experience preferred, and fiberglass mat plant or equivalent experience would be ideal.
    • Supervisory experience of 3-5 years.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
    • Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation, and listening) and analytical skills.
    • Proven track record of operational improvement through employee engagement.
    • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office preferred.
