Job Title: Coordinator for Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf KidsJob Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the implementation of PA 256, which focuses on language acquisition and early education resources for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The Coordinator will work with families, agencies, and organizations to ensure compliance with the legislation's requirements and facilitate collaboration to support the development of a parent resource.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with families to gather input for the parent resource and educate them on the requirements of PA 256.
  • Collaborate with the LEAD-K Advisory Committee to create and distribute the parent resource.
  • Serve as a liaison to various groups and agencies to coordinate efforts in fulfilling legislative requirements.
  • Assist in planning and executing the LEAD-K conference in June 2025.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with families and organizations serving children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
