About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our Cyber Solutions Practice, you will be responsible for providing expert-level security guidance and support to our federal customer site in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to identify and implement effective security solutions
  • Providing expert-level guidance on security best practices and risk management
  • Supporting, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software IA problems
  • Providing objective advice and specialized skills to create value, maximize growth, and improve performance and protection against cybersecurity-related threats and vulnerabilities
  • Participating in consulting projects that deliver customer-focused results aligned with strategic goals
  • Facilitating review and analysis of strategic issues and advising on implementation of strategy
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to pass an extensive background check and obtain a Public Trust
  • 12 years of general experience, with 10 years in Cybersecurity and FISMA experience (or equivalent)
  • One of the following professional security certifications: CISSP, CASP, CISA, CISM, or GSLC
  • Extensive knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with NIST SP 800 family of publications, particularly those associated with NIST's Risk Management Framework and FedRAMP
  • Operating system and network knowledge, including LAN and WAN
  • Information security and assurance principles, including defense-in-depth
