Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Red Team Operations Analyst to join our team in support of a large Federal Government customer. The successful candidate will support a dynamic and exciting cybersecurity program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct offensive security assessments, emulating real-world threat actors' tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and execute these techniques within the rules of engagement.
  • Perform penetration testing and red teaming assessments using hacking tools, simulating various attack types, including social engineering, physical intrusions, and network-based attacks.
  • Develop and execute test plans and rules of engagement for Red Team operations.
  • Analyze security systems and recommend improvements to enhance security posture.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other Red Team members and provide mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Perform technical reviews, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Support risk management activities by identifying potential technical risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field – equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in offensive security, including penetration testing and red teaming.
  • Certifications in offensive security, such as OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, OSWE, GPEN, GWAPT, or similar are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity principles, and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of program/project management software (Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft 365/Teams applications, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
