Security Officer

Marksman Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Front Entrance: Welcome and register visitors, verify identification, and issue visitor badges. Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
- Monitor Access Points: Control the entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to established protocols.
- Patrol Premises: Regularly patrol the warehouse and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety.
- Surveillance: Monitor surveillance cameras to detect any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Incident Reporting: Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
- Security Checks: Conduct security checks on incoming and outgoing personnel and goods to prevent theft and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Communication: Use communication devices such as two-way radios to report incidents and coordinate with other security personnel.
- Foot & Vehicle Patrols: Regularly patrol assigned areas to ensure they are secure and detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
- Monitoring: Keep an eye on CCTV and security cameras to detect any suspicious activity.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and security incidents.
- Customer Interaction: Handle customer relationships, arrange appointments, and answer telephone calls.
- Reporting: Document and report any security breaches or incidents.
- Monitoring and Controlling Access: Checking in and out personnel, visitors, and vehicles. Ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Surveillance: Observing and reporting any suspicious activities. This often involves monitoring CCTV cameras.
- Traffic Control: Directing and managing the flow of vehicles, especially in busy areas.
- Reporting: Documenting incidents, irregularities, and any breaches of security protocols.
- Customer Service: Assisting visitors with directions and information and providing a point of contact for employees and delivery personnel.
- Emergency Response: Responding to alarms and emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches.
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CA BSIS Guard Card
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Monitoring and surveillance experience
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- 2 Year Security Experience Required
- Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check and drug test
