Job Description

The Center for Discovery is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Associate Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will provide high-quality treatment services to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation, meeting clinical quality standards outlined in policies.
  • Complete and respond to documentation requirements and timelines to ensure compliance with the monthly medical record review.
  • Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and their families/loved ones.
  • Facilitate admission assessments and the admission process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and communicate weekly treatment goals with all team members.
  • Complete an appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patients' level of care.
  • Facilitate process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily.
  • Required to sit at a meal and/or snack a minimum of once per week.
  • Facilitate multi-family groups, family program, and/or family weekend.
  • Provide utilization reviews to insurance companies, providing appropriate clinical information to obtain initial authorization and continuing stay authorization, as necessary.
  • Complete discharge sessions with patients to ensure coping skills, transition plans, and resources are understood and intact.
  • Ensure discharge appointments are confirmed with patients and loved ones prior to discharge.
  • Communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care upon admission, midpoint, and discharge.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

This is a full-time position that will work Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5pm.
