Position Overview
The Lead Clinical Therapist is an integral member of a vibrant multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic services in alignment with the Center for Discovery's Clinical Model.

Key Responsibilities
The therapist's role encompasses ensuring patient safety, implementing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups, conducting clinical assessments, and managing therapy sessions along with other assigned case management duties.

Essential Functions
- Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation throughout the treatment process, adhering to the quality standards outlined in organizational policies.
- Meet documentation requirements and timelines to comply with the monthly medical record review as per established guidelines.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and their families or support systems.
- Facilitate admission assessments and the onboarding process for new patients with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor.
- Understand the importance of providing swift access to care for individuals seeking services.
- Actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings, communicating treatment goals effectively with all team members.
- Conduct the required number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family or support system sessions tailored to the patients' level of care.

Therapy Session Requirements
- RTC: Two individual sessions and one family/support system session.
- PHP: One individual session and one family/support system session.
- IOP: One therapeutic session, either individual or family/support system, as clinically indicated.

Group Facilitation
- Lead process-oriented and psychoeducational groups one to two times daily.
- Participate in meals and/or snacks with patients at least once a week.
- Facilitate multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.

Clinical Support
- Provide utilization reviews to insurance companies, supplying necessary clinical information for initial and ongoing authorizations.
- Maintain accessibility for family members or loved ones.
- Assess patients for suicidality and potential risks to self or others.
- Offer additional clinical support to team members as needed.

Discharge Planning
- Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission for all patients.
- Conduct discharge sessions with patients to ensure understanding of coping skills, transition plans, and available resources.
- Confirm discharge appointments with patients and their loved ones prior to discharge.
- Communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care during admission, midpoint, and discharge phases.

Support and Supervision
- Provide guidance to milieu staff in their interactions with patients and families.
- Offer clinical supervision to other clinicians within the organization as assigned.
This position operates on a PRN basis.
