Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Leave Specialist to join our team at Crawford & Company. As a Leave Specialist, you will play a critical role in administering our clients' Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy and providing exceptional support to our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leave Administration: Assist associates with Leave of Absence (LOA) requests, guide them through the process, and ensure timely and accurate responses to associates and management.
  • FMLA Policy Administration: Process all LOA paperwork according to established procedures and laws, review FMLA documentation for accuracy and completeness, and make recommendations to approve or deny requests based on federal regulations.
  • Communication and Training: Provide FMLA training for Department supervisors and employees, conduct training sessions, and coordinate correspondence, forms, and other documents via the claim system.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate reports as required, maintain files, and keep complete records of all LOA requests and tracking and analysis of data.
  • Compliance and Quality: Maintain compliance with standards and federal/state regulations, uphold the Crawford Code of Conduct, and ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of FMLA claim administration or a related field, with current experience in the integrated disability and absence management industry.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to manage difficult and stressful situations, strong communication skills, and ability to interpret and analyze multiple facts.
